Hotel Borobudur Jakarta

Located amongst government buildings in the center of Jakarta, this hotel becomes favorite for domestic as well as foreign government officials and political leaders, and have hosted no less than Lady Di, Zanana Gusmao, Alexander Downey And Per Stig Moller. The hotel is also known as the presidents’ resident. In fact, the name “Hotel Borobudur” itself was given by the first president of Indonesia, Mr. Soekarno.

As we can expect from its name, the hotel has a thick Javanese touch to its interior design. A miniature of the Borobudur temple in the front part of the garden and the stone carving on its walls really make a statement. Though located in the middle of a very busy business district, the atmosphere inside the hotel is tranquil. You can actually hear the birds singing while you walk along the 700 m jogging track in the morning. There are a lot of birds live freely in the 23 acres tropical garden full of beautiful and large trees.

Designed for business and leisure travelers, the creamy shade rooms are spacious, with two views options: the garden and the swimming pool. Plus, you can have an excellent view of Jakarta at night through the large windows.

The rooms consist of Superior, Premier Deluxe, Excutive, Junior Suite, Executive Suite, Deluxe Suite, Club Deluxe, Club Suite, Borobudur Suite, Presidential Suite, and Garden Wing Suite.

The facilities include 5 restaurants—Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Indonesian cuisine—two bars, a coffee shop, lobby lounge and several shops. The tasty Oxtail Soup in Bogor CafĂ© is a favorite dish for many visitors.  For those who love sports or just like to keep in shape, there is a health club with an olympic-size swimming pool, jogging track, tennis courts, squash courts, basketball court—to name a few. And to relax your mind and body, indulge yourself with Indonesian tradisional massage in the spa Borobudur.
